Bahawalpur: A 40-year old employee of the Quaid-E-Azam Solar Park project died ‘mysteriously’ at the Bahawal Victoria hospital. Asghar of Mauza Sui Wihar, he received a call from the hospital staff that his brother Gul Sher, father of five children, was in serious condition. When he and his wife reached the hospital, they were informed that Gul Sher had died.
According to Asghar, they were told by the sola park project staffers and the hospital staffers that Gul Sher was admitted to the hospital at 8:30pm, but they were informed about it at 5am. According to the BVH doctors, Gul Sher had died from a heat stroke. Meanwhile, the deceased’s relatives have demanded an inquiry as he was not facing any health problem.
Khairpur: RPO Dr Ahsan Sadiq Padi a surprise visit at Khairpur Tamewali on Sunday. He inspected security arrangements at the bazaar. He also checked quality of food items begin sold here. The Khairpur Tamewali DSP gave a detailed briefing about security arrangements to the RPO. Assistant commissioner Jam Aftab Hussain was also present on the occasion.
Dera Ghazi Khan: Heavy dust storm hit the city on Sunday evening. It disrupted power supply and uprooted a number of trees and bill boards in the city and surrounding areas. The dust storm paralyzed routine activities of the life at Taunsa Sharif, Dera Ghazi Khan City, Shadan Laund, Kala Shah and Sadr Din. According to the MEPCO Officials the dust storm uprooted electricity poles at various locations.
Pakhpattan: Cash and valuables were taken away in two incidents here.
In the first incident, Ashraf was going to Adha Fitna from Chak 165/EB when two dacoits snatched cash and a mobile phone from him near Chak 109/EB.
In the second incident, thieves entered the house of Bilal Hussain at Mohallah Peer Karyianwala and stole cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. Police have registered separate cases.
